Add a Watermark to PDF — Make the Document's Purpose Clear
Mistaking a draft for the final version, or internal material leaking outside, usually happens because the document has no marking. Laying text like "For review" or "Confidential" on every page greatly reduces such misunderstandings.
The watermark text is drawn on screen first and then laid onto the document, so any characters and emoji display without breaking. Adjust opacity, angle, size, and color to find a line that doesn't hurt readability.
Both the traditional large diagonal mark across the center and a tiled repeat across the whole page are supported. Tiling makes it harder to crop out with a screenshot.
Limits of this tool
- A watermark is a graphic drawn over the page. It can be removed with professional editing tools, so it's not a legal protection measure.
- Adding an image as a watermark (logo insertion) isn't available yet.
