Merge PDF — Bring Scattered Documents into One

When a quote, a contract, and scanned evidence are split across separate PDFs, the recipient has to open each file one by one. Merging joins these documents in the order you want into a single PDF.

Drag the cards in the file list to reorder them, and drop any file you don't need straight out of the list. Each file's page count and size are shown so you can gauge the size of the result in advance.

Every merge finishes inside your browser. The text, fonts, and vector graphics of the original PDFs are carried over as-is rather than redrawn, so quality never drops.

How to use

  1. 1

    Add your PDF files

Select several PDFs to merge at once, or drag them from your file explorer onto the dotted area. Adding more files later keeps the existing list.

  2. 2

    Arrange the order

Drag cards up and down and they join in exactly that order. Mouse and touch are both supported; with the keyboard, focus a card and use the up/down arrow keys to move it.

  3. 3

    Merge and download

Name the result file and press the merge button. When it finishes, the total page count and size appear and you can save right away.

Key features

  • Drag to reorder

Document order is the single most important setting for the result. Move it card by card and confirm the final arrangement with your own eyes.

  • Page count per file

Each PDF's page count is read and shown in advance, so you can catch a wrong file before merging.

  • Original quality kept

Pages aren't rebuilt as images — the document objects are copied directly. Text search and copy still work after merging.

  • Repeat as often as you like

After one merge, press "Process another file" to clear the list. Great for handling several batches in a row.

When to use it

  • Building a submission packet

Use it to join an application form, identity evidence, and attachments in a set order to submit as a single file.

  • Distributing meeting materials

Bundling slides and reference documents means attendees don't have to pick which file to open.

  • Tidying scanned documents

Handy for restoring the original order of a PDF that a copier scanned a few pages at a time.

How are your files handled?

Selected PDFs open and merge only in your browser's memory. There is no upload request at all, and any data left in memory disappears when you close the tab.

Selected files open only in your browser's memory, and results are handed straight to your device when you save. Close the tab and any remaining data is gone with it. See the Privacy Policy and File Retention Policy for details.

Merge PDF FAQ

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
There's no technical ceiling, but to protect browser memory we cap it at 30 files and 300MB total at once. If you have more, merge in a few batches and then merge the results together.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
A PDF with an open password can't be read and is reported as an error. Remove the password in the program that created it and try again.
How much bigger does the file get after merging?
Usually about the sum of the originals. When several documents share the same fonts, duplicate resources are consolidated, so it can end up slightly smaller than a simple sum.
Are bookmarks and the table of contents kept?
Page content is carried over, but document-level bookmarks (outlines) are not transferred yet. Re-create any bookmarks you need in your PDF viewer after merging.
